Lake Michigan Federation is a non-profit, citizen based organization whose mission is to restore and maintain the quality of Lake Michigan, inculding its shoreline and the waters that feed into it. Michigan Environmental Council is a coalition of 50 leading environmental and public health organizations with over 100,000 individual members. For 18 years, MEC has provided a collective voice for the environment at the State Capital. Save the Dunes Council, Michigan City, IN The Save the Dunes Council of Northwest Indiana was founded in 1952. It is one of the oldest grassroots conservation organizations in the country. Its objectives are to maintain and restore the integrity and quality of the natural environment of the Indiana Dunes region. |
